Trim, named after the first cat to circumnavigate
the world in 1803, was born at Absolutely Bengals, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on
15 July 2004. He was a sweet, beautiful marble Bengal boy, who fit in
right away when he joined our home in October 2004. He quickly became best
buddies with Lance, and they were inseparable.
Tragically, in late October, Trim developed a
high fever that did not respond to antibiotics, and a pot belly filled with
fluid. He was diagnosed with presumed FIP (feline infectious peritonitis),
an insidious, invariably fatal, largely untreatable disease He lasted
scarcely over a week before the fluid began to spread to his lungs, and we had
to put him down. Trim was four months old.
He brought joy and love
to all who knew him in his very short life, and we miss him dearly. Rest
in peace, Trim.
